I definitely prefer this arrangement, more dynamic than the original. Still, Buddy Holly was such a great songwriter and performer.

To blackrockingpirate, and cavdragoon – both interesting names by the way. Are either of you musicians? or even just dabbled in it in highschool. If so, you’d know that real musicians may compete, who headlines, guitarists cut heads etc. But they NEVER knock each other! I am sure if Holly were alive he’d be flattered that Bon Jovi covered one of his tunes, though probably not as much as the fact that Bo Diddley covered Not Fade Away. But you guys get my drift. This is about the music!
