Of course it’s a great topic, You can focus on the way they represent how the working class of the United States can live the American dream. Besides, of course besides of the contribution of their music (making rock massive, timeless songs and rock anthems), you can mention how they have became one of those referents for bands that look for longevity and also represent one city in the whole world. I’m from South America, and I started to listen to rock music when I heard them and I know about Jersey because of them
So, yeah, they have a huge influence not only on the culture of the USA, but on the whole world, with that motto: Songs are more than music, they’re pictures from the soul (Last man satanding: Have a nice day), and there is no doubt that they have touched millions of souls through their music during the last 25 years
You can also focus on JBJ’s philantropist work. that’s an example of how an artist can give it back without promoting himself. I recommend you a book by Laura Jackson or Wikipedia are good sources
