Where to start? I fell in love with the band Bon Jovi when I was 12 years old and heared Always on the radio. Born in 1981, I completely missed their 80s fame, and only discovered them when they released Cross Road, and then These Days. Jon was always my favorite member of the band, although needless to say, I love the others almost just as much. Bon Jovi is without a doubt my favorite band in the world, and Jon was my very first crush. They'll always be very special to me, and I'll always love their music.
The highlight in my Jon-love was June 2003, when I finally got to see Bon Jovi live. They played Lansdowne Road in Dublin as part of their Bounce Tour, and I was lucky enough to get tickets. The concert rocked beyond belief, it was one of the best nights of my life. See here for a full concert review and photos. :)

The highly photogenic lead singer of rock band Bon Jovi established himself as a respected actor and solo artist in the late 90s. For a period from the late 80s to the mid-90s, Bon Jovi was one of the biggest-selling acts in the world, thanks to the multi-platinum success of Slippery When Wet and New Jersey. The singer actually began his recording career way back in 1980, recording several tracks as John Bongiovi at his cousin Tony's Power Station recording studio (this material was eventually released in 1997 as The Power Station Years). Fame and fortune soon followed with Bon Jovi the band, before the singer took time out in 1990 to record the solo Blaze Of Glory. This quasi-soundtrack collection was inspired by the movie Young Guns II, in which Bon Jovi also made a brief appearance. The singer's Western-themed songs failed to stretch a stellar cast of backing musicians including Elton John and Jeff Beck, but the album was a commercial success and the title track reached the top of the US singles chart. Bon Jovi the band returned in 1992 with Keep The Faith, which unveiled a new, mature rock sound. Following the release of These Days in 1995, the singer elected to concentrate on his acting career. His natural good looks led to starring roles in amiable but lightweight fare such as Moonlight And Valentino and The Leading Man. In 1997, he released a second solo album, Destination Anywhere, on which he completed his rehabilitation into a mature, Bruce Springsteen-styled rock artist. The album, which included the minor hit singles "Midnight In Chelsea" and "Janie, Don't Take Your Love To Town", augured well for his future as a solo artist. Nevertheless, he returned to the band format for Bon Jovi's new album, Crush, released in May 2000.
In 2002, the album Bounce was released, followed by another sold-out world tour. Currently the band is preparing their latest album, This Left Feels Right, due for release in November 2003. This Left Feels Right is an accoustic Greatest Hits, but we've been assured it won't be in the convential style.
Jon and his wife Dorothea have four children: daughter Stephanie Rose (May 31, 1993) and sons Jesse James Louis (February 19, 1995), Jacob Hurley (May 7th, 2002), and Romeo Jon (March 29, 2004).
